The Basics
Introduction and Basic Description
De(s)oxypipradol, also 2-diphenylmethylpiperidine (2-DPMP) and (RS)-2-benzhydrylpiperidine is a highly potent and long-lasting stimulant drug which inhibits the reuptake of Noradrenaline and Dopamine.
Timeline of Experience
onset 1-20 minutes, peak T+1-2, plateau T+4-8, end of experience T+12-24. Overdoses can lenghten the effects to several days. The peak is not really pronounced.

Dosages
The drug is active from 0.5mg. Typical doses start at 1mg, up to 4mg with no tolerance. Doses up to 10mg most often cause a 48-no-sleep-period. Even higher doses cause long lasting insomnia (speaking of weeks) and, if taken at once, instant paranoid psychosis. Do not redose.
Method of administration
Due to its activity in the mg range, one should either have an accurate scale (30$ scales are not accurate to 5mg, if you paid less than a grand for it, don't trust it) or prepare a solution in dH2O. Desoxypipradol-HCl dissolves readily in hot water, the resulting solution can then be portioned with a syringe. Soln. seems to be stable. Store vacuum tight and safe from light, anyway.
Method 1
The measured product can be snorted with little to no burn or be applied with a nasal spray with no burning when prepared with saline.
Method 2
2-DPMP(HCl) can be vaporized on aluminium foil, but is wasteful since it recrystallizes very fast and can also decompose if not heated carefully. The freebase form can be prepared with NaOH, dH2O, any low-boiling non-polar solvent and an eyedropper, or, preferrably, a separation funnel. It melts around 60C and leaves no residue on the foil.
Slang
I like to call it "Substance D", referencing Philip K. Dick's work "A Scanner Darkly". I have heard people use the term "Horsecrank". But please call it Substance D.
Problems
Can induce temporary psychosis if overdosed or used over prolonged periods. Induces anxiety in many, varies with dosage. Vaping the drug is very habit forming. I experienced the freebase-vaping becoming a ritual. Be careful.
Contraindications and Overdose
It is very easy to overdose. It is very hard to counter the effects. Don't overdose. You'll regret it.
Negative Short-Term Side Effects
Sleeplessness, minor teeth grinding, anxiety, paleness, tachycardia at high doses, high blood pressure, lack of appetite at higher doses, hypomania, mania, psychosis.
Negative Long-Term Side Effects
Probably same as Methylphenidate. Slight weight loss, personality changes. Permanent Psychosis. It is a research chemical. This list ist probably not complete.

Only psychological addiction, and even that is neglible.

Preparation
You wouldn't necessarily include this - possibly for drugs like crack where you have to put some effort into making them. You can include e.g. preparing ketamine powder from liquid, making crack from coke, etc. DO NOT include anything relating to synthesis! We're talking about taking a pre-existing drug and altering its form to make it easier/better to use, NOT making a drug from other chemicals.
