Introduction
The Chillout Room is a defunct Bluelight forum. It was intended as a place for more serious discussion, in contrast to Bluelight Discussion, which was a general purpose discussion forum. Due to low traffic, The Chillout Room was closed.
History
The Chillout Room was one of the original forums to be established on Bluelight.ru in 1999. It was intended as a place for serious discussion of all and any topics. At the time, none of the serious discussion forums (Sex, Love and Relationships, Current Events and Politics, etc) existed, so the Chillout Room was the only venue for such discussions. Less serious social discussion took place in Bluelight Discussion. However, The Chillout Room was not widely used. In practice, much serious discussion took place in Bluelight Discussion. Due to perceived under-use, the Chillout Room was closed in 2001 [citation needed for date].
The Taco Forum
Although The Chillout Room had been closed and its link removed from the site directory, the forum itself still existed. Some Bluelighters discovered that they could still navigate to it using the forum ID (e.g. http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/forumdisplay.php?forumid=144). The Chillout Room thus became a private, unofficial, "secret" forum within Bluelight. As part of an in-joke involving Griff, it became known as the Taco Forum.
Guidelines
Forum guidelines for The Chillout Room are lost. There probably weren't any forum-specific guidelines at that point of Bluelight's evolution, anyway.
