User:Infinite Jest

This is my page on the Bluelight Wiki.

I'm Simon, originally known as Simon on Bluelight, but subsequently as Infinite Jest. I take the name, if it isn't obvious, from the novel by David Foster Wallace (who himself of course took the name from Shakespeare, the gravedigger scene in Hamlet).

I come from New Zealand but currently live in London, England. I'm a librarian and work at a law firm.

I've been a member of Bluelight for 10 years and three days as I write this. I've moderated Ecstasy Discussion, New 2 XTC (yes, that's how it was spelled), Drug Basics briefly, the Lounge for 23 hours, the old FAQ forum, and now the Wiki. I was one of the founding mods of the Dark Side forum, but there's no way I could handle moderating it, and those who do have my full respect. I was also an admin for a bit.

As part of my library degree I wrote an annotated bibliography of New Zealand publications relating to ecstasy, amphetamines, and piperazines. It's available on my website (which really needs updating). It's not bad, but it became out of date almost as soon as I wrote it, so I wouldn't rely on any of my claims.
